Situated on the southernmost peninsula of Lyssia between the mouth of the River Steppen and Sapphire Bay, the bustling sea port is the City of the Horselords. The granite citadel of High Stable, built from the rocks of the Barebone Mountains, is its most imposing structure, housing the court of the Longridings' therianthropes. No Horselord is considered greater than the others, so, accordingly, the council chamber is a round room with no throne. Lorimer is aided principally by Cape Gala's eldest statesman, his uncle, Viscount Colt, with younger nobles, such as Lord Conrad, jostling for position at court. The Horselords seek independence from the Seven Realms, though none dare challenge the King.
